(English) In a significant development aimed at fostering economic ties between Lebanon and Qatar, the Chairman of Global Lebanese Investors, Mr. Jacques Sarraf, recently met with His Excellency Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, the Ambassador of Qatar to Lebanon. The meeting took place as part of the Ambassador’s meeting with the Lebanese Economic Organizations headed by H.E. Choucair, held at the Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, and it provided a platform for Mr. Sarraf to introduce the activities, vision, and mission of GLI to the esteemed Ambassador and others.
During the meeting, Mr. Sarraf highlighted the abundant investment opportunities available in Lebanon and the wider region, emphasizing the potential for collaboration and growth between Lebanese and Qatari investors.
He extended a warm invitation to Qatari investors to come visit Lebanon, encouraging them to consider Lebanon as a strategic investment destination and to explore the diverse sectors ripe for development. He also announced his plan to visit Qatar along with a delegation of Lebanese Investors to meet with counterparts.
During that upcoming visit, GLI can explore the possibility of signing an agreement with the relevant investment authority or association in Qatar that will contribute to advancing mutual interests and leveraging respective strengths to create a conducive environment for investment and business expansion.
